African Rural University Vice Chancellor Dr. Mwalimu Musheshe has held a meeting with the former students of URDT Girls School and their parents. The meeting took place on 8th May 2018 in the Vice Chancellor’s office. The major aim of the get together was to hold conversations and encourage the qualifying former senior 6 students of URDT Girls School to join ARU for their degree courses.
During the meeting, the Dr. Mwalimu expounded on the advantages of joining ARU. He said that ARU is a unique institution because of the unique Program-Bachelor of Rural Development which has a new approach to development.
Dr. Mwalimu also explained to the students and their parents the importance of working towards achieving one’s vision and mission. At the end of the meeting, qualifying students for university admission were provided with a bursary to study at ARU.
The meeting was also attended by 2 graduates of ARU who are Epicenter Managers (Ms. Asiimwe Rose and Ms. Muhindo Milly Desire) from Ruteete and Kagadi Sub County respectively. Other participants included 2 Current ARU students led by the Guild President and 3 ARU staff led by the Academic Registrar
The students and parents had a campus tour with the guidance of the ARU current students.
